Hey hey…I’ve been sewing like crazy still, just not so much taking photos/writing like I want. Seems adding that little bit in to sewing/kids/work/blahblahblah is just enough to make me a little too stressy sometimes. I’ll see what I can do…
Meanwhile, check this out. Mood Fabrics has a TON of amaze Rag & Bone Fabric in, including this freakin’ fab cotton double gauze for $14/yd:
AND this shirt at Nordstrom by Rag & Bone in THAT fabric is totally a Negroni pattern:
I already have the Negroni pattern. In fact, I’ve made 2 custom shirts for my man in the last year in Negroni. It’s a fantastic pattern. I bought the printed, but you could get it for $12. It’s 45in fabric, so say you’d need 4 yards, that’s $56. You could make that shirt for about $68. OKAY, buttons, thread, shipping, printing, maybe closer to $80.
That leaves you $175 to charge for labor! Wait…Even IF I pounded one of these out in 8 hours straight…yeah, I make more at my day job. That must be why they call it a labor of love. 😀
