Starched Fabric Cabinets – 1 Year Later

If it wasn’t for an awesome commenter, I totally wouldn’t have realized it has been a whole year since I put fabric on the kitchen cabinets with spray starch. Wow.

Time flies and with a large, busy family, it all goes really fast!

Anyway, an update for you timid fabric starchers and photographic evidence that not only did it work just as I said it would, but my kitchen is a tool and I use it! Hahaha!

Here are photos sans cropping, Photoshop or any other magic. These are literally midday shots, in the middle of meal prep and bread making no less! Toddler fingers included, clock on microwave is correct, grime is regrettable  but necessary in the middle of holiday crazies.

Here you go…upper cabinets look as good as the day we did them. Lower cabinets…well, see that little hand in the lower right corner? Yeah, she peeled the last lower cabinet this month.

Again, literally in the middle of making pumpkin rolls and had a pot of orange peels and cinnamon going for humidity…lol! But see – the cabinets right over where I cook, right over where the magic of macaroni and cheese happens and all that steamy goodness – exactly the same as the day it went up.

There’s a little warpy-ness but that is mostly my application I think…and it’s only noticeable by putting a camera lens up there. I don’t know anyone in the NBA, so no one will ever see that.

And lastly, the only thing coating these cabinets after the fabric has been removed is the thousand layers of apartment paint and it looks like maybe this morning’s coffee.
